Gooch & Housego is looking for a motivated and independent individual to maintain, administer and help modify as required, our EH&S policies and practice. The role is based in Cleveland, OH, working across the US Sites to establish a phased approach in assessing the current state and developing a culture of open engagement to drive improvement. This includes: overseeing compliance to all relevant environmental policies, programs and regulations, including the HAZMAT inventory and waste disposal; all relevant Occupational Health & Safety regulations, including the Sites’ IIPP; and where applicable the Sites’ ISO14001 Environmental Management Systems.
The role also covers working with their UK counterpart in rolling out Group wide process standardization and supporting Environmental projects such as Site based ISO14001 accreditations.
This is a matrix position: it works under corporate strategic direction across all US Sites for the EH&S responsibilities, whilst also having secondary reporting to the General Manager at Cleveland for local Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities as the site prime.
