G&H is a multinational photonics technology business headquartered in the UK with manufacturing operations in the USA, Europe and Thailand and sales offices worldwide.

We are a world leader in EO(Electro Optcis) / AO(Acousto Optics) technology, optical design, testing, and precision optical manufacturing. We supply OEM customers worldwide, with optical systems, assemblies, and components for demanding applications, often for deployment in harsh environments.

We serve a diverse range of customers and markets and subdivide our business into 3 core segments: Aerospace & Defence (A&D). Industrial & Telecoms and Life Sciences.

We have recently experienced significant growth in the Asia Pacific region, and we see a lot of incremental growth potential in Taiwan. This has created a need for us to add a motivated individual to our Asia & Pacific (APAC) sales team. This represents an excellent career opportunity to establish a direct regional sales presence in the Korean market.

The position will report directly to Sales Director – APAC (based in Japan) and working closely to sales manager in Singapore who is currently handling Taiwan Market.

Responsibilities:

Proactively formulate and implement sales/marketing strategies to achieve the company’s growth objectives.

Respond to customer enquiries - interact effectively with relevant G&H staff in production and engineering (to prepare quotations, provide product support, logistics, deliveries, import/export, compliance etc.)

Preparation of sales forecasts and other sales reports as required.

Conduct sales presentations, negotiate sales transactions, and proactively follow up on business opportunities in the region.

Service existing Taiwan distributors and key customers to promote and further G&H business interest in the country.

Prospect for new customers and develop incremental business with Korean lasers/laser systems, photonics, microelectronics, display and automotive industries.

Special focus on developing business relationships and sales at Taiwan Aerospace & defence customers - including discovery, market research, and effectively communicating G&Hs capabilities to customers in the A&D segment.

If needed identify distributors specifically for the A&D market area.

Additional special focus on developing business in Semiconductor related, Life Sciences and Medical segment

Effectively use company systems, reporting & sales forecasting tools

Attend regular conference calls and sales meetings across different time zones

Asist with company marketing efforts in the APAC region such as trade shows, etc.

Ideal candidates will have the following;

Ability to speak and write Chinese (Taiwanese) natively and English fluently. Fluency in Japanese and Mainland Chinese are advantages (but not a necessity)

BSc. Degree or Diploma in photonics/optics/science/physics or relevant engineering background or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

>10yrs experience selling complex photonics products and components into OEM laser, laser systems, telecom, medical laser manufacturers. AND ideally, selling systems and photonics products into the A&D, bioinstrumentation and life sciences.

Relevant experience in handling Taiwan Prime defence contractors.

Experience selling direct to customers as well as managing local distributors

Strong customer advocacy ethic with excellent English communication skills both verbal and written.

Motivated self-starter with high integrity and ability to work effectively while remote

Candidate must be very organised and able to work independently
