Manufacture component parts for optic devices. Continuously reviews processes and procedures to improve quality, quantity and efficiency. Assure timely availability and highest level of quality of all parts and materials made in-house. Provide maintenance and operating integrity of the machine shop facility and of all equipment assigned to the department.


Ability to read drawings and specifications

Loading parts and operating controls

Parts production and inspection

Routine maintenance of machines

Manufacture jigs, fixtures and machine parts to support other activities in production

Close interaction with engineering department on new products

Timely completion of sales/production orders for optic devices


Attention to detail

CNC operation/maintenance

Manual dexterity

Precision measuring with gauges, callipers and micrometres

  • Use of small hand tools and instruments
  • Principles of Lean Manufacturing

High school graduate

2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
