Product Manager, UK Precision Optics & Modules

We are currently recruiting for a Product Manager to be responsible for managing the Precision Optics capability and product suite in Industrial, A&D and Life Science market sectors, by managing product lifecycles and delivering profitable revenue growth.

Responsibilities;

Manage and grow the UK Precision Optics capabilities and products across all market sectors

Perform product lifecycle management on Precision Optics capabilities and products

Convert market needs into product specifications underpinning revenue growth

Define, manage and drive cost targets for the specific product family

Act as the interface between Operations, Sales and R&D Engineering

Enable and support NPD/NPI focused on providing target requirements and specifications

Interface with customers supporting Sales

Deliver quotes and proposals to customers for released or products in-development

Work with Business Development and Engineering teams to convert new design-ins through our Gate review processes

Work cross-functionally with the Operations, R&D and Sales to ensure our strategic plan is executed

Work collaboratively with other parts of the business to vertically integrate and create value through synergies with AO, FO and Systems.

Support Marketing in the promotion of products - generate marketing literature and samples, attend relevant trade shows exhibitions and conferences

Ideal candidates will have the following;

Educated to degree level in a relevant technical, science, engineering or business discipline or equivalent education gained through work experience.

Experience in product lifecycle management

Knowledge of technology and commercial aspects of precision optics required

Proven track record in driving growth, design-ins and executing on commercial programmes

Strong communication and presentation skills

Flexibility to travel to other sites when required, expected 20%
