G&H, a leading provider of precision optics and photonics solutions, is delighted to announce that it has been awarded the prestigious ISO14001:2015 certification for its Environmental Management System at not one, but two of its UK facilities. This significant international recognition reaffirms G&H’s unwavering dedication to environmental sustainability and operational excellence.

ISO14001:2015, the world’s first and most widely recognised international Environmental Management System framework, has empowered numerous organisations worldwide to enhance their environmental performance whilst ensuring responsible and sustainable business practices.

In May 2023, the British Standards Institution (BSI) conducted a rigorous ISO14001:2015 certification audit at G&H’s headquarters in Ilminster, UK. Following the comprehensive evaluation, G&H was commended for its outstanding commitment to the environmental management and recommended for certification, pending an onsite audit at its facility in Torquay, UK.

“After a successful Stage 1 and Stage 2 ISO14001:2014 – Environmental Management Audits by BSI, G&H Ilminster and G&H Torquay were certified to the standard. This is an amazing achievement which promotes G&H’s commitment to environmental sustainability and their pathway to becoming carbon neutral,” said Richard Edge, EHS Manager at G&H.

The ISO14001:2015 standard guides businesses to consider multiple aspects of their operations, including procurement, storage, distribution, product development, and manufacturing, with the primary objective of minimising their environmental impact. Additionally, the standard encourages organisations to evaluate their emergency response strategies, meet customer expectations, foster strong relationships with stakeholders, and positively engage with the local community.
