Crystals and Nonlinear Optics
Nonlinear optical crystals enable wavelength conversion applications from the deep UV to the far-infrared.
View product rangeWe manufacture crystal optics from a variety of materials to work in optical components such as acousto-optic modulators, Mach-Zehnder modulators, Pockels cells, waveplates, harmonic generation crystals, fiber-optic gyroscopes (FOGs), and waveguides.
We grow, orient, fabricate, finish, coat, and mount beta barium borate (BBO), cadmium sulfide (CdS), cadmium selenide (CdSe), potassium dihydrogen phosphate (KDP), potassium dideuterium phosphate (KD*P), and tellurium dioxide (TeO₂) crystals in housings with apertures from 3 mm to larger than 300 mm.
Extensive facilities for transmission and reflection interferometry, as well as contrast ratio measurements are used to maintain excellent quality. We can measure insertion loss, uniformity of birefringence, and other characteristics upon your request.
We have the ability to produce single prototypes and the manufacturing capacity to deliver optical crystals by the thousands. We can support your needs from commercial off-the-shelf products to customized complex solutions to meet your most demanding optical requirements.
