Reticles
G&H reticles are designed to meet the most demanding needs, with multiple configurations available to ensure flexibility. They provide unparalleled accuracy and reliability, consistently delivering proven field performance.
Reticles are precision patterns, such as engraved lines, used in optical instruments for orientation and distance measurement. In advanced applications, reticles are illuminated using diode-based systems that project an image of the reticle (e.g., a red dot) at infinity.
Our reticles are engineered with microlithographic precision, achieving an accuracy of ±0.002 mm to ensure superior image clarity and measurement accuracy. They are manufactured in cleanroom environments to meet stringent cleanliness requirements, critical for high optical performance, and adhere to US and European MIL specifications for defense and industrial applications.
The reticle glass is installed on the focal plane of the telescope or scope’s eyepiece and is designed to preserve the system focal length without introducing field distortion. This requires the reticle to be made with ultra clean glass, precise microlithographic patterns, and meticulous manufacturing to avoid optical artifacts caused by dust or misalignment.
In addition to standard etch & fill or metallic line designs, we offer customization options to meet unique application requirements. These include anti-reflection, waterproof, oleophobic, and anti-glare coatings, as well as fully custom reticle designs for specialized needs.
