June 2026 - Glasgow, UK
G&H (LON: GHH), a global leader in optics and photonics technology, will showcase its advanced quantum-enabling technologies at the Optica Quantum 2.0 Conference and Exhibition, taking place 15–18 June 2026 at the Scottish Event Campus (SEC) in Glasgow, UK. Visitors can meet the G&H team at Booth #115.
Co-located with the Optica 2026 Quantum Industry Summit - Fifth Edition, Quantum 2.0 brings together researchers, technology developers, and commercial leaders working to accelerate the transition of quantum technologies from laboratory research to real-world deployment.
As quantum architectures continue to scale in complexity, photonics has become increasingly critical to enabling precise control, measurement, communication, and computation. G&H supports customers across the quantum ecosystem with a broad portfolio of acousto-optic, electro-optic, fiber-optic, and precision optical technologies, combined with the manufacturing expertise required to transition innovations from prototype to production.
At the exhibition, G&H will highlight technologies supporting quantum computing, quantum communications, quantum sensing, quantum metrology, and emerging quantum-enabled systems.
"Quantum technologies are moving rapidly from proof-of-concept demonstrations toward scalable, deployable systems," said Richard Hendel, Head of Global Sales, Photonics. "As this transition occurs, the need for precision photonic infrastructure becomes increasingly important. G&H combines decades of photonics expertise with scalable manufacturing capabilities to help customers overcome the challenges associated with building practical quantum systems."
©️ G&H acousto-optic deflectorsAmong the featured technologies will be G&H's acousto-optic solutions for quantum computing applications. Recent peer-reviewed Nature publications referenced G&H AODF 4085 acousto-optic deflectors in record-scale neutral-atom quantum computing systems operating at 3,000 and 6,100 qubits, demonstrating the growing importance of high-performance beam steering in scalable quantum architectures. These systems rely on fast, electronically controlled optical beam steering to organize atomic arrays, transport qubits, and maintain coherence at unprecedented scales.
G&H will also showcase its Fiber-Q® fiber-coupled acousto-optic modulators, which provide precise laser control for quantum applications requiring exceptional stability, reliability, and performance. Available across visible and infrared wavelengths, Fiber-Q® technology supports demanding quantum computing, sensing, and communications environments where precise manipulation of photons and atoms is essential.

G&H's quantum technologies portfolio supports a wide range of applications, including quantum computing, quantum communications, quantum sensing, precision timing, atomic clocks, and quantum metrology. The company works closely with customers from early-stage research through volume manufacturing, helping accelerate the commercialization of next-generation quantum systems.

About G&H
Gooch & Housego (G&H) is a leading photonics technology group headquartered in the UK with a global footprint. G&H is listed on the London Stock Exchange (AIM), founded in 1948 and is a leading manufacturer within the optics and photonics industry. Today G&H employs more than 900 people globally across sites in the US, UK, Europe and Asia with > $180 million sales. The Group supplies innovative and reliable products into Industrial, Aerospace & Defence, and Life Sciences.
Across these markets G&H has the ability to operate as a component, sub-system and system level manufacturer enabled by the strong vertical integration – from crystal growth to turnkey systems. Earlier this year, G&H split into two divisions to better align to the needs of its diverse customer base. The Photonics division encompasses our acousto-optic, electro-optic, and fibre-optic product lines and includes G&H ITL, our medical equipment design and contract manufacturer. The division has manufacturing locations in Fremont CA, Cleveland OH, Torquay and Ashford UK (c 450 employees) supported by our contract manufacturing partners in Czechia and Thailand.
