Our global company is equipped with modern, purpose-built facilities and advanced production capabilities. We are currently recruiting for a Continuous Improvement & Training Coating Technician. This position serves a multifaceted purpose, primarily focusing on the development of training matrices and individual training development plans with well-defined timelines. By meticulously maintaining records and rigorously assessing the quality of training, the coordinator ensures that the workforce is equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
You will play a critical role in communicating training timelines to line managers and reporting progress to the Manufacturing Manager, facilitating the integration of training initiatives with the broader manufacturing strategy. In addition to training responsibilities, the coordinator also spearheads the coordination of Continuous Improvement (CI) projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance product quality, reduce wastage, and maximise overall operational efficiency.
Responsibilities include;
Develop and maintain training matrices, plans and programs, evaluating effectiveness throughout to ensure standards are met
Maintain records of employee training and certification status, communications timelines and updates where needed
Coordinate and facilitate training sessions, workshops, and on-the-job training, ensuring they align with organisational objectives
Provide on the job training to cover coating, cleaning and metrology operations, and to assist with new product introduction where training is a requirement
Work closely with subject matter experts to develop and update training materials and content to keep them current
Assist in the development and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to manufacturing processes
Conduct root cause analysis to address quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions to drive process improvements
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the impact of CI projects and report on their effectiveness
Ideal candidates will have the following;
5+ years’ experience in a technical production environment
Demonstrated leadership skills and management of manufacturing teams
Exposure to a LEAN manufacturing environment, ideally trained to Sigma 6 Green belt
Good working knowledge of all MS applications
Understanding of manufacturing metrics and Project Management techniques
