The Manufacturing Manager is a leadership position. Building strong alliances across all functional teams, working as a member of the site leadership team on strategic planning, own the manufacturing and support performance KPI’s for the site and ensure Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental compliance are met are critical to the success of this position.

This role will be responsible for developing an enthusiastic, motivated, and flexible team through personal leadership attributes. The Manufacturing Manager will also be required to support continuous improvement by identifying areas of deficiency and recommending appropriate changes in training, working practice and processes for the department.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Drive day to day Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost Leadership throughout operational processes to ensure expected outputs.
  2. Instil the voice of the customer throughout each process to ensure all Operations have the customer requirements in mind, every day for every job.
  3. Provide direction and leadership to a matrix organisation of direct and indirect reports ensuring that products are manufactured with the highest level of quality in a safe and timely manner that will meet or exceed customer expectations.
  4. Strong leader that will listen, engage, and encourage employee suggestions and input to achieve excellent results. While managing performance, career pathing, and resource time management of the team.
  5. Maintain a safe work environment, a high level of safety awareness among associates, and implement Six Sigma principles. Providing leadership guidance during Gemba walks. Comply with all G&H policies. ISO standards, regulatory or statutory requirements.
  6. Conduct fact-based analysis using Lean techniques to create value and manage an operation that eliminates waste and drives continuous process improvement related to safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
  7. Own and review Operations Key Performance Indicators (KPI) during daily management meetings.Identifying gaps and implementing countermeasures.
  8. Meet or exceed established common business objectives from the Site Strategic Plan and Budget.

  1. Use of Syspro (or equivalent) and legacy business systems.

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Recognised management qualification and technical qualification desirable.

EXPERIENCE

  1. 5+ years’ experience in a technical production environment.
  2. Demonstrated leadership skills and management of manufacturing teams.
  3. Exposure to a LEAN manufacturing environment, ideally trained to Sigma 6 Green belt.

This position may involve access to items and technical data controlled under U.S. export laws and regulations. Candidates will be evaluated based on their status as "U.S. persons" as defined under the EAR (15 C.F.R. Part 772) and the ITAR (22 C.F.R. § 120.15).
