The individual hired for this position will perform assembly of various types of Elector Optics, quality inspections, and inventory handling. The Assembly Technician is responsible for performing incoming inspections, mechanical and pre-assembly operations, inventory counting, and cleaning processes on production components.

Job Responsibilities

  • Component prep for Electro Optics devices
  • Visual inspection of individual parts prior receipt into inventory
  • Assure inventory records and documents are accurate and complete including: wash/bake log, lot tracking, cycle counts, incoming component documents, etc.
  • Preparation of components for assembly including: Deburring, laser engraving, acid etch, tumbling ceramics, sub assembly, wash/bake, labelling
  • Identify department needs – parts and supplies
  • Maintain Kanban inventory in the clean room area and deburring area
  • Communicate inventory needs to purchasing and machine shop, based on open orders
  • Coordinate with Assembly team to ensure that all inventory movement needs are met on time for open orders
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment using 6S methodologies including wash/bake room, central inventory, and deburring area
