Product description

The G&H 4050 Germanium 9.1–9.5µm AO deflector is designed for acousto-optic modulation in mid-infrared laser systems. It uses germanium as the interaction material and operates with a compressional acoustic mode.

The device is specified for linear horizontal optical polarisation, parallel to the base, and supports operation across a 40–60 MHz frequency range. Its optical design includes low-reflectivity anti-reflection coating and high transmission across the specified wavelength band.

With an 11.6 mm active aperture, high diffraction efficiency and specified beam separation at 9.4µm, the 4050 AO Modulator is suitable for specialist mid-infrared laser modulation, beam control and optical switching applications. The unit is water cooled and includes push-fit connectors for integration into active laser systems.

Key features

  • Supports mid-infrared laser modulation across the 9100–9500nm wavelength range
