Submarine networks

As global internet traffic continues to increase, undersea networks need to have higher capacity and speed whilst maintaining power efficiency. Our passive optical components are high reliability and low loss, making them ideal for undersea repeaters. We are currently developing a new generation of smaller and higher functionality components to underpin higher fiber pair count.

Space Applications

Satellite photonics require reliable and durable components with high power capabilities. Our expertise in challenging component design and manufacture allows us to develop space-qualified components, including HI REL couplers. G&H couplers fly in recent major inter-satellite links and constellations. Our couplers have been in space for more than ten years as seen in the example of SMOS (Soil Moisture and Ocean Salinity).
