Product description

The G&H AODF 4070 Germanium 9.4µm Mid-Infrared Acousto-Optic Deflector is designed for beam steering and optical scanning applications in the mid-infrared spectral region. It uses Germanium as the AO medium and operates in a longitudinal acoustic mode.

The device is specified with input and output polarization parallel to the mounting plane, supporting predictable optical integration in 9.4µm laser systems. Its RF configuration is centred at 70 MHz with a 40 MHz RF bandwidth, supporting controlled acousto-optic beam deflection.

The AODF 4070 uses a 4 element phased array and includes a delay/splitter box, supporting the required RF drive architecture for the deflector. With water-cooled operation, 11 mm diameter active aperture and 68 mrad scan angle, it is suitable for MIR laser beam steering, optical scanning and specialist photonics applications.

Key features

  • Supports 9.4µm mid-infrared laser beam steering in precision optical systems
