Product description

Dichroic reticles are advanced optical components that use interference-based thin-film coatings to create highly selective, wavelength-dependent patterns. Unlike standard chrome or etched reticles, dichroic reticles appear transparent at certain wavelengths and reflective or colored at others, enabling unique applications in multi-spectral imaging, beam splitting, and laser alignment.

The patterns—such as crosshairs, dots, grids, or custom geometries—are fabricated on glass substrates using dielectric multilayer coatings, precisely deposited via sputtering or ion-assisted deposition. These coatings ensure exceptional durability, optical flatness, and spectral control with minimal absorption.

Applications
  • Tank fire control systems (FCS) - Secondary gunners' sights / ITAS/IBAS acquisition systems
  • Field orientation (aiming circles)
  • Collimators and telescopes
  • Surveying and triangulation equipment
  • Medical and scientific instruments requiring reticle-based measurement

Key features

  • Precise aiming and ranging
  • Microlithographic accuracy for superior image clarity
  • Field proven reliability in demanding environments
  • High Durability: Resistant to heat, humidity, and laser energy due to robust dielectric layers
