Product description
These superpolished substrates result in low scattering losses and significantly fewer defects. We provide custom high-reflectivity mirrors that offer superior performance and value to customers developing laser cavities, ranging from small and lightweight range finding lasers to industrial lasers.
We design and manufacture our precision mirrors in both the United States and the United Kingdom.
Eliminating Defects
The smallest defect on an optical surface often leads to system failure. Our goal is to minimize or eliminate system failures by offering the highest quality polishing and coating for our precision optical mirrors.
Precision mirrors are fabricated in a number of shapes and sizes, including aspheric and off-axis. Conventional optical grade flats or shaped substrates are precision polished and inspected at magnification and using white light interferometry to ensure there are no underlying defects before coatings. Careful cleaning and coating processes ensure microscopic particles are not encapsulated into the coating.

Environmental Testing
Environmental testing of components and coatings is critical for the assurance of performance in rugged conditions. G&H environmental testing capabilities include MIL-C-675C, MIL-C-48497A, MIL-E-12397, and MIL-M-13508C for endurance against abrasion, adhesion, humidity, temperature, and environmental conditions.
